Counseling Support When You Need It
OCU provides access to support for students through various counseling and mental health resources and referrals. Numerous resources are made available online via the “Spiritual Growth and Emotional Wellness” page of the website. As a first line of assistance, students and families are provided with information and immediate access to school staff and administrators who are vetted and qualified to offer pastoral care and counsel.
Additionally, students and their families have access to First Orlando Counseling, which is well-staffed with 9 licensed mental health providers, as well as 8 additional staff members including several registered Mental Health Counselor Interns, a staff Pastoral Counselor, and a Physician Assistant specializing in behavioral health. The counseling center provides services in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian-Creole.
